Turkish Language and Literature – TED ÇORLU KOLEJİ

Turkish Language and Literature

Our main goal in Turkish Language and Literature courses is to prepare our students for the future who can use their mother tongue correctly and effectively, become conscious of the richness of Turkish, understand the fact that 'other languages can be used successfully as long as they have a good grasp of their own language', know Turkish and world literature, can convey their feelings and thoughts verbally or in writing, and adopt Kemalism as a principle, as contemporary and leader-spirited individuals.

For this purpose, Turkish Language and Literature courses at TED Çorlu College are taught according to the principle of "active learning and teaching", as well as providing information about literature in line with the MEB program. In order not to limit our students' contact with literature to the role of reader, studies that will enable them to use their language and literature knowledge in their lives through writing, listening and speaking are included.
In line with these studies, It is aimed our students;

• to be able to communicate effectively by using their listening, reading, writing and speaking skills correctly and appropriately,
• to gain the habit of reading, understanding what they read correctly, making comments and approaching what they read critically,
• to recognize literary works written in different periods, genres, styles and contexts,
• to understand national, spiritual, moral, cultural and universal values,
• to gain a lifelong literary taste and interest.
In the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, in addition to book reviews, outstanding activities such as participation in local and non-provincial symposiums, poetry recitals, and interviews with invited guests from the world of art and literature are planned.
