Information Technologies / TEDtech – TED ÇORLU KOLEJİ

Information Technologies / TEDtech

In the Information Technologies activity, students gain basic computer skills. At the same time, beginner level 'Coding and Robotics' activities suitable for their level are carried out.

In the studies, the child is given the opportunity to repeat what she/he has learned and move on to the next stage. These experiences enable the child to use cognitive processes such as exploratory learning, problem solving and decision making. While children are in the process of learning with computers, they can develop ways of learning on their own, as well as recognize the shortcomings of their own strategies, their own potential strengths and unique situations. Robotics is a very useful educational tool for teaching programming and coding logic to kids ages 3 and up. Children can easily start coding without being able to read or write. Robotic studies, which cause them to calculate distance and position, teach children to create their own unique solutions to problems by reaching the given goal in different ways. Exercising different motor skills, such as positioning the robot, trying to place the blocks on the panel, supports physical development. The thinking structures of children dealing with coding change positively. While coding, they gain the ability to think multidimensionally by considering many different stimuli and environmental conditions. Computer-assisted education also improves children's hand-eye coordination, perception abilities, cognitive development and creativity.

Activities at TED Çorlu College Kindergarten are carried out in accordance with the "Kindergarten Computer Aided Education Activities" teacher's book prepared on the basis of the "Turkish Education Association Kindergarten Education Program".
