Music Education – TED ÇORLU KOLEJİ

Music Education

Developed by the famous composer Carl Orff for music education in early childhood, the main purpose of the 'Orff Approach' is for the student to discover music. The primary goal is for the student to feel and realize the rhythm, heartbeat or step she/he takes while walking. While basic music education is given in the Orff Approach, it is aimed that the student learns music in a completely natural way by using the materials they are accustomed to. The most basic element of this approach is the unity of dance, music, speech, language, body and movement. In the education made by using these basic elements, besides the musical and social development of the student, the development of internal discipline, learning discipline, taking group responsibility, learning to work with others and attention skills are provided. Active learning is facilitated by imitation, exploration and improvisation practices.
