Murat Dayanıklı, MD, MPH, MBA
Dr. Dayanikli is a graduate of Istanbul University School of Medicine. He received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Istanbul University Graduate School of Business in 1990, and his Master of Public Health (MPH) degree on health policy, resources and administration from Yale University in 1992.
While living in the USA between 1992 and 1996, he worked at Harvard Community Health Plan, California Pacific Medical Center and Mercer Health Care Provider Consulting where he concentrated on establishing integrated health care systems, re-engineering hospital operations and strategic management of health care providers.
He relocated back home in 1996 and joined Dogus Holding Company where he launched the first managed care product in Turkey.
Between 1999 and 2007, Dr. Dayanikli assumed the Vice Chairman and CEO positions to lead the development of Anadolu Medical Center, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins Medicine (www.anadolusaglik.org). His visionary leadership at Anadolu Medical Center enabled the hospital to be chosen as one of the top 10 global hospitals in the world.
Between October 2007 and November 2010, Dr. Dayanikli worked as the founding partner and board member of United Healthcare Organizations (www.medline.com.tr), the fifth largest health care company in Turkey with 7 hospitals and 572 beds.
As the CEO of Medicana Health Group (www.medicana.com.tr) he managed re-engineering efforts to successfully receive 16 EBITDA multiples for majority and 13 EBITDA multiples for minority shares of the company.
Dr. Dayanikli is the chair at Çorlu Vatan Hospital (www.corluvatan.com), the oldest and most renowned hospital in Thrace region with 120 beds, and, TED Çorlu College (www.tedcorlukoleji.com), a K12 school with 1.250 students. He is also the chair at Medforum Health Services (www.medforum.com.tr) and Naviga Medical (www.naviga.biz) where he partners with an equity firm in the USA. He has a partnership at Anatolia Geneworks (http://www.anatoliagenetik.com), a publicly traded biotech company which exports Covid-19 detection kits to all over the world, Kodris (www.kodris.com), Kronnika (www.kronnika.com) and Madlen (www.madlen.io) software companies with international presence .
Dr. Dayanikli has been active at the Health Reforms Steering Committee of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists Association. He is a member of American College of Healthcare Executives’ Turkish Chapter, Healthcare Administrators Association, Darussafaka Board of Directors and Isik Schools Alumni Board. He holds The Best Instructor of 2003 Academic Year award from Yeditepe University MBA Program, 2005 Rotary Occupational Excellence award, and 2006 Healthcare Professional of the Year award. In 2010, Dr. Dayanikli was chosen as one of 125 Graduates of Isik Schools who have made significant impact to the society in 125 years of the school history. In 2011, he was awarded as the CEO of the Year on Best Brand Development category by Reporter magazine. In 2022, he received Rotary Lifetime Professional Excellence award as well.
